CONNECT WITH THE RED SONGBIRD FOUNDATION
In 2003, when I was six years sober, I was still carrying deep pain from PTSD and struggling with the ways it showed up in my life. My mentor at the time encouraged me to write my entire story and send it to a foundation that could help me. So I took a step I never thought I would because I was terrified. I faxed my story to people I didn’t know, to a foundation that helped individuals in need.
After reading my story, they chose to help. They covered half of my inpatient treatment and paid for two months of therapy afterward. It completely changed my life. For the first time, my secrets were no longer hidden. I was seen. I was heard. And I began to heal in ways I didn’t know were possible. You can have freedom and peace in your life too. It starts with taking that first step and allowing people to walk with you. We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your bravery.
